Why does the rice that a farmer sells at ₹15/kg gets sold to consumers at ₹100/kg, be it through retail store or in the form of a ‘value add’, say a meal at a restaurant? Because Farming, by and large, is quite an unorganized, informal, yet tightly controlled sector.

The so-called ‘value add’ is being swallowed by middlemen and profit hungry businessmen who don’t want farmers to realize their fair share.

Common Questions

When can I start shopping through Origin?
We are launching Origin on 15th Sep. You will receive an invite on 14th Sep at your email. Post the invite, you can pay for the membership by activating an account with us and start shopping. Your Origin Membership will get activated from the day you make the payment.
Can I join Origin after 15th Oct?
You surely can, but we are not sure we’d be able to let you in without any waiting period. We anticipate a good demand from our customer base and want to ensure we can run operations smoothly. This is why we are accepting Origin Membership in phases.

Just to note, we are launching on 15th Sep. Please sign up today so we can let you in when we launch.
How many products will be available on Origin?
We will have 500+ products available right from day one. You will be able to get all your staples and groceries from us. Good thing is we are adding products on weekly basis so you will always have something new to look foward to!
Do I need to make the payment for the Origin Membership right now?
No, you can make the payment when we launch.
Is there any delivery/shipping fee?
There will be a nominal shipping fee of Rs. 50 per order. This shipping fee is flat regardless of the size of the order.
Where all do you deliver?
Origin Membership is available for the residents of Bengaluru, Mandya, and Mysuru at the moment.
